Visiting Regulations
The following are general guidelines for visitors.
- Individuals who have colds, sore throats, or any contagious diseases should not visit patients.
- Visitors should speak quietly and avoid unnecessary noise.
- Visitors may be asked to leave the room at the staff's discretion.
- Visitors must wear shirts and shoes.
- Smoking is not allowed in any portion of the hospital or under the roof areas outside the hospital.
- Use of cell phones is not allowed in direct patient care areas. There is a small risk of wireless communication equipment interfering with or disrupting patient care equipment. To minimize this risk, we ask that you please limit your use of cell phones to the lobby and cafeteria areas.
- Lounges for visitors are located throughout the hospital.
- To provide the optimum therapeutic environment, healthcare providers reserve the right to limit a patient's visitors. It is suggested that only two visitors be with a patient at the same time.
- Please feel free to discuss these guidelines with the charge nurse if special circumstances need to be considered.
- If you are bringing an infant into the building as a guest, you must stop at the reception desk and obtain a Visitor's Pass. All staff members have the right to stop you and ask to see your pass. If you do not have a Visitor's Pass, you will be escorted to the registration desk to receive one.
Visiting Hours
General Visiting : 9 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Because we believe family, friends, and significant others contribute a great deal to an individual's ability to cope with illness or injury and aid in the recovery process, general hospital visiting hours are unrestricted during the day. However, we ask all visitors to leave by 8:30 p.m. to allow adequate rest for our patients and to provide for a quiet atmosphere for patients to recuperate. If visitors wish to stay after visiting hours please obtain permission from the nurse.Family Center : 11 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Arrangements can be made for one adult family member to stay with a child all night. No visitors under 12 are allowed except for the patient's siblings.Maternity Suites : 11 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
No visitors under 12 are allowed except for the newborn's siblings. Visitors are encouraged to wait three to four hours until the patient is recovered from the delivery to visit the new parents. All visitors must sign -in and out at the nurse's station.Intensive Care Unit (ICU) : 11 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Please limit visitors to two at a time. If your family member has been admitted to the acute area we ask that only immediate family visit and that you stop by the nurse's station before visiting. Due to the specialized nature of this unit, we ask that there be no visitors under 14 without special permission.
Child Visitation
We understand the importance of relationships with children and the role they play in the healing process. However, due to children's decreased immunities, limited attention spans, and safety issues in a hospital, staff will use discretion in allowing visitation of children under 12. ATM
An ATM is available for you located on the Garden Level, next to the -elevators.
KishCoffee House
The KishCoffee House proudly brews Starbucks Coffee and is located off of -the main lobby. Open Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 7 pmParking
Visitors may park in lots near the main lobby or the Emergency Department. Signs are posted for outpatient and disabled parking.Public Transportation
