DeKalb County Hospice hosts grief and loss expert
August 19, 2008

DeKalb County Hospice is presenting “Catching Your Breath in Grief,” a free community presentation on death and dying, by Thomas Attig, PhD, on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 7 to 9 p.m., in the Roberts Conference Center at Kishwaukee Community Hospital.

Attig is the author of The Heart of Grief: Death and the Search for Lasting Love, How We Grieve: Relearning the World, and numerous articles and reviews on grief and loss.  He brings with him 30 years of reflection about the meanings of life, death, loss and grieving.  DeKalb County Hospice is excited to bring Dr. Attig to the community to share a story of the breath of life, how the death of someone special can take “our breath away; and how, through active engagement with what has happened to us, we catch our breath.”

Kishwaukee Community Hospital is located at One Kish Hospital Drive, off Sycamore Road (IL 23), between Bethany and Barber Greene Roads.
